Grape variety: Friulano, Malvasia, Ribolla Gialla
Harvesting: By hand.
Fermentation and refinery: Racking and fermentation with indigenous yeasts in 5 HL oak tonneaux; aged in 15 HL oak barrels for the first 12 months; the wine is placed in stell stanks where it ages for a further 6 months. After this period of refinement the wine is bottled and ages for an additional 6 months before release.
Alcohol: 14.0%
Tasting notes: On the nose sweet, large, spicy with varietal characteristics; with hints of citrus, almond, walnut, exotic fruit and hints of white peach, sage and white pepper. On the palate great structure with good acidity and harmonious fruit and spice. The typical almond aftertaste and exotic fruit is very persistent.
Pairing suggestion: It pairs well with prosciutto crudo and cotto. it pairs pleasantly with fish dishes, fresh and full-fat cheeses.
